#NFL DiRTy Plays 2015 – Week 5
Greg Hardy is simply put, a MORON! After you are caught and I remind you convicted for throwing your girlfriend on a pile of guns, threaten her life and beat her, you don’t say, “I’m going out a gunzablazin'”, you just don’t do it. Then you don’t follow that up with stating that you hope Tom Brady brings his wife and she brings all of her hot friends. Usually the Cowboys are just a reminder of mediocre football, at least for the past 20 years and this just further illustrates why. Combine that with an owner who will stand by his man, its no wonder Stephen A. Smith calls them an accident waiting to happen. They are just like a car crash dummy that forgot to put his seat belt on before being launched into a brick wall. Nothing would please me more than for Tom Brady to call a team meeting and initiate a bounty for the first person to blow out Greg Hardy’s knee so I don’t have to watch that disgusting idiot on Sunday! In fact, I have started a gofundme account, just click here to participate and get this guy out of the great game of football for good.

So let’s breakdown week 5 for Draftkings & FanDuel!
Absolute Must Have
As we look to move into the second quarter of the NFL season, we have some certainties, one of which is Tom Brady! He has started off the season as the highest producing player on FanDuel and #3 on Draftkings. This week as he is our #1 overall Absolute #MustHave! Tom gets to exploit the Cowboys defense this weekend, where the Cowboys have McClain and Greg Hardy coming back. Seeing that Greg Hardy still seems to think that we don’t know how awful and disgusting his actions were in Carolina, he seemingly felt the need to make derogatory comments about Brady’s lovely wife and his expectations of her friends, read more here. This just cemented my pick for my daily fantasy QB on Draftkings and FanDuel this week. Look for Brady to exceed his projection of 26.12 on Draftkings this week. The extra week to prepare should mean that Gronk get’s back on the TD train, Patriots roll the Cowboys by at least 3 touchdowns.
***Reminder Must Have’s are salaries that are $7,800 and higher
For FanDuel our top Notable for week 5 is Blake Bortles. He is coming off a strong performance and gets to face the lowly Bucs this weekend.
Coming in with a FanDuelProjection of 17.01, he might be a good cheap play at QB this week. On Draftkings, we have Larry Fitzgerald. What can I say about his resurgence this season. I took him in Week 2, more so because he was the best player left in that specific salary range and all he did was blow up. He has been MR. Consistent since that time and should be considered in all lineups on Draftkings as his salary is far lower than his production so far this season. Look for him to have another solid week with 8 catches for 133 and 1 touchdown against the Lions. His DraftkingsProjection is 23.68.
***Reminder Notables are salaries between $5,200 and $7,800
Now for the category that most, if not all of you are really looking for. Each week we have nailed our #Sleeper for the week and that is why we have been so consistent in winning on both FanDuel and Draftkings! Drum roll please………….Dion Lewis is our Absolute Sleeper on Draftkings this week. He comes in with a DraftkingsProjection of 15.53 and a salary of only $4,800. Dallas cannot stop anyone and NO, I don’t think Hardy does anything to change that this week.
Lewis is going to get 6 catches per game and as long as he gets 40 yards and a touchdown, this is a great pick. Our FanDuelAbsolute Sleeper is Gostkowski for the Patriots. As you can see our DiRT Canon AI DC*3PO is all over a huge New England victory this week and so am I. My personally selection for this week’s #Sleeper is Chris Thompson with Washington. The Falcons are giving up the most fantasy points to running backs so far this season and Thompson looks to get added playing time with Matt Jones on the sideline and a trust issue with Alfred Morris. This is very high risk so let’s see if we get high reward.
***Reminder that Sleepers are salaries under $5,200
As of today, the heaviest favorites for the week are as follows:
- Kansas City -10.5 over Chicago
- Green Bay -10 over St. Louis (in Green Bay)
- New England -10 over Dallas
Boy was I wrong last week as the 49ers proved yet again why I can’t believe anyone is a 49ers fan, that team is terrible. Your boy, Xerxes, or as one great man put it, Captain Check Down, has lost whatever talent he once displayed. The Seahawks are not going to the Superbowl this year, they should be 1 – 3 right now and another terrible call in Seattle, got them back to .500. Andrew Luck didn’t play and news was announced this morning that he will sit out again. All you folks that took the Colts this year to get to the Bowl, who you got now? I have been on Patriots and Falcons from the beginning and so far, I like my chances. As for these games, I’m taking the Bears and the points with the Chiefs winning this game 27 – 20. Green Bay will win but I don’t believe they blowout the Rams, if Gurley gets going like I thought Hyde would do last week, this will be a close game with Green Bay winning 31 – 24 with a late touchdown. New England rolls the Cowboys 49 – 10 and if my dream comes true, Greg Hardy plays only one play on defense before the entire offensive line chop blocks him and sends him to see Dr. Andrews…..nuf said!
Top Overall Game Over/Under
This week we have a tie for the top over/under game of the week. New England and Dallas as well as New Orleans and the Eagles are both slated for 49.5 combined points. As you can tell, I am already on the Patriots as I think they will put up the 49 points and we will see if Dallas can get the other .5 points but I think this is a safe bet. The Eagles and Saints however, I don’t think they have a chance a scoring 49.5 points. The Eagles are a hot mess right now and while the Saints aren’t very good either, they are coming off a late night OT victory. I am taking the Saints this week and the 4.5 points but I have the Saints winning 20 – 17 so I’m on the under. Nothing like rooting for no touchdowns I know but the truth is, the Eagles have no idea what they are doing on offense and I expect that to continue again this weekend.
Toughest QB Matchup
This week we have Tyrod Taylor as being slated with the toughest matchup for the week. Tennessee’s defense has been a quiet surprise so far this season and Buffalo is missing a ton of guys. I like the Titans this week and I can definitely see Taylor struggling a bit in this game. Andrew Luck is our #2 and with the news coming out this morning, he isn’t going to play so Matt Hasselbeck can replace him on our list for this category. Last we have Andy Dalton against the Seahawks at home. I do not think that Dalton will struggle this weekend but Chancellor has certainly provided a small spark for this team. Their problem is more on the offensive side of the ball. Fred Jackson will not play and who knows about Lynch. Jimmy Graham is not the player that Drew Brees made him and that is glaring thus far so you are left to the Wilson show. While he is great, even the Lions defense showed you how to shut them down.
Matchups to Exploit
In this segment, I am going to breakdown the pass defense, rush defense and overall defense to exploit for the week. If a team shows up in this area, it is because our system shows them as giving up the most yardage totals for the upcoming week.
Let’s make this simple to the stats as they come directly from our Odds page, so come and take a peak here.
- Passing Yards is the New York Giants at 309.85 yards
- Rushing Yards is Cleveland at 126.8 yards
- Overall is New England at 427.6 yards
I agree that Justin Forsett is going to torch the Browns defense this weekend and I like him on both FanDuel and Draftkings. In fact, he had a breakout game last week and with Steve Smith expected to miss this game, look for him to play a big role as the Ravens look to get back in the division race. As for the Giants pass defense, while terrible so far, they get Captain Check Down this week. I don’t believe that the Giants will give up the most passing yards this week simply because of who they are playing. Instead, I think Brady goes for 350+ on Dallas. That brings me to New England’s defense, DC*3PO has them giving up a ton of yards to the Cowboys, which could be the case but I don’t think so. I have already said that I believe the Pats win 49 – 10 so the overall defense to exploit is in fact Dallas. The defense that I think will create turnovers and not give up many yards is in fact the Giants. If you take the Giants D, you will save an extra $400 or more on this roster spot and that might just get you Keenan Allen or Larry Fitzgerald in that mid range zone. Most people will pick the Denver D for their fantasy team as evident in our Public Picks later in this article.
Our top 3 QB’s for this week in order of projected score is Tom Brady #1, Aaron Rodgers #2 and Drew Brees #3. Okay, by now you have to have put Brady on at least one lineup, so I think we are covered there. Let’s talk about Aaron Rodgers. He heads home this week to put his no interception record on the line against the Rams. I like the Rams defense, they shut down Pittsburgh, even though Big Ben got hurt, they still only scored 12 total points. They are coming off a huge win at Arizona and if Gurley gets it going, this could make for the game of the weekend. All that said, Rodgers is a good play but I don’t think he is worth the cost in daily fantasy this week, too many cheaper options that will get similar production. Drew Brees did make a comeback last week against Dallas, another reason I like Tom Brady, with Spiller make a huge contribution, we will see if they can keep in going. I am on the Saints so I have to be on Drew Brees. I am more on Snead though for this week. He is a sneaky sleeper that less than 1% of daily fantasy players will have on their lineup. He should get a TD this week and he will get 8 catches for 70 yards.
This is a new segment for us to cover this year. Currently FanDuel and Draftkings won’t tell you who the public is on for this week’s contests. There is a reason for that from their perspective but from ours, we love it. While we cannot tell you specifically which site has which figures as that would violate our partnership agreement with each company, we can tell you based on the NFL.com, Perfect Lineup challenge, who the public is on. Yet another reason why you only need to come to our site for all of your Daily Fantasy information.
- QB – Tom Brady 46.7%
- RB – Le’Veon Bell 58.8%
- WR – Julio Jones 62.8%
